Jon and Ali were married at Stowe Mountain Resort on Labor Day Weekend this year. Their flowers and decor reflected a rustic elegance and fit perfectly with the venue. They decided to see each other before the ceremony for a first look so we were able to take advantage of a number of beautiful vistas for their pictures. Riding around the golf course in a parade of golfcarts we got the full tour of the beautiful property.

Guests rode the gondola up to the top for their ceremony and then enjoyed the views during cocktail hour before descending the mountain and welcoming the newlyweds to dinner with sparklers. DJ Terry Urban (a friend from New York) kept people rocking on the dance floor throughout the night- the only break was to cut the ice cream cake (which also broke the knife!!)

Vermont Country Wedding in Manchester Vermont: Yvonne and Kevin

Carrie and I are so pleased to give everyone a little preview of one of our favorite weddings from June of this year. Yvonne and Kevin were wonderful to work with, very detail oriented as you can see from the wonderful photos. Carrie and Yvonne worked tirelessly to ensure the travel theme came through in many facets of the wedding, including Kevin and Yvonne arriving via rowboat to their reception at The Ponds Pavilion at The Equinox Resort. Even though the weather did not exactly provide us with blue skies, the rain ended shortly after the ceremony and guests were able to enjoy the evenings festivities under the stars with Smores in hand and a blazing bonfire to keep everyone warm.

We wanted to thank all the wonderful vendors that made this event come to life.

Vermont Weddings at Mountain Top Inn & Resort: Jen and Jeff

This gorgeous affair of Jennifer and Jeffry was the first wedding of the season for us at Storied Events and we are delighted to say that it went off flawlessly! Mountain Top Inn and Resort located in Chittenden, Vermont was the venue of choice for Jenn and Jeff who were looking for a mountainside wedding venue (gorgeous views), with all the classic charm and amenities that a quintessential New England resort will bring.

Here are some of the details:

Basics:
Theme: Napa meets Vermont
Colors: Chocolate Brown, Pink and Green
Original plan: Formal sit down dinner, traditional timeline.
What makes this wedding unique:

With two months until the wedding, the bride and groom decided to amend the existing plan & leave out the formal dinner and go with something less traditional, more them and more interactive. Storied Events went back to the drawing board to redesign the event to incorporate a distinctive atmosphere truly representing Vermont and Napa Valley. We threw out all the traditions and created a night specifically designed around Jennifer and Jeff. The dining tables were all removed and left only various formations of cocktail tables and lounge furniture. The menu was designed to keep food flowing most of the evening. Several tasting size portions of creative dishes using local ingredients paired with wine. Knowing the bride has a special place in her heart for dragonflies, we placed subtle touches of dragonflies here and there – to not distract from the overall theme. Lastly, amber lighting washed the tent as the sky drew dark, creating a romantic, soft glow throughout the night.

The DJ played tunes all night, keeping guests on the dance floor for almost 6 hours!
