West Monitor Barn – Richmond, VT – www.monitorbarn.org

Located in Richmond Vermont, the West Monitor Barn is situated with gorgeous views of The Green Mountains and is close enough to Burlington to have your guests enjoy the benefits of both the country and the city. Originally built in 1903, this Monitor Barn was painstakingly renovated and restored to its current natural glory using 40% of its original timbers. All proceeds from renting the West Monitor Barn go towards funding Vermont Youth Conservation Corps (VYCC) programs, which employ over 300 young people to work on high-priority conservation and education projects across the state of Vermont each year.

“Our Barn can hold up to 200 people. We have everything you need from tables and chairs to an 80ft private deck and gorgeous fields fit for a ceremony. Set up bocce, or croquet for a playful cocktail hour for family and friends to enjoy. Tents can be rented that fit on our back fields, as well as on our deck. The Webster Barn – Hyde Park, Vermont – www.websterbarn.com

Located in the heart of the Green Mountain Range, Webster Barn hosts only 10 weddings per year on their property in Hyde Park.  Unlike many wedding venues, Webster Barn books for the entire weekend, and includes the use of the 3 bedroom/2 bath home on site and full use of their Vermont Wedding Barn.

One of the major benefits of booking this venue is the savings you will enjoy from not being required to book a bar service for your wedding. Webster Barn allows you to bring your own alcohol to the venue, which as we all know equals significant savings over purchasing alcohol from a bar service based upon consumption or by the bottle. While Webster Barn is not staffed by a wedding coordinator, and many of the aspects of the planning at this venue need to be done by yourself or your wedding party, the property and its raw natural beauty speaks for itself. Shauna and Reeves, who manage the property are also available to discuss details if you have questions. Currently Webster Barn is fully booked for 2012, however they are accepting deposits for 2013.

This gorgeous affair of Jennifer and Jeffry was the first wedding of the season for us at Storied Events and we are delighted to say that it went off flawlessly!  Mountain Top Inn and Resort located in Chittenden, Vermont was the venue of choice for Jenn and Jeff who were looking for a mountainside wedding venue (gorgeous views), with all the classic charm and amenities that a quintessential New England resort will bring.

Here are some of the details:

Basics:
Theme: Napa meets Vermont
Colors: Chocolate Brown, Pink and Green
Original  plan: Formal sit down dinner, traditional timeline.
What makes this wedding unique:

With two months  until the wedding, the bride and groom decided to amend the existing plan & leave out the formal dinner and go with something less traditional, more them and more interactive. Storied Events went back to the drawing board to redesign the event to incorporate a distinctive atmosphere truly representing Vermont and Napa Valley. We threw out all the traditions and created a night specifically designed around Jennifer and Jeff. The dining tables were all removed and left only various formations of cocktail tables and lounge furniture. The menu was designed to keep food flowing most of the evening. Several tasting size portions of creative dishes using local ingredients paired with wine. Knowing the bride has a special place in her heart for dragonflies, we placed subtle touches of dragonflies here and there – to not distract from the overall theme.  Lastly, amber lighting washed the tent as the sky drew dark, creating a romantic, soft glow throughout the night.

The DJ played tunes all night, keeping guests on the dance floor for almost 6 hours!

Catamount Bed and Breakfast - Tented Wedding Venue in Vermont

RICH IN VERMONT HISTORY

Built in 1796 by the first governor of Vermont, Thomas Chittenden, Catamount Bed and Breakfast was the original home farm of Giles Chittenden, the Governor’s son, known then as the “Giles Chittenden Homestead”.  The house and its 500 acres of pastoral land have sweeping views of Mt. Mansfield and Camel’s Hump to the East and Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks to the West.  The property is surrounded by privacy and the beauty of woodland, pasture and cropland.  There is nothing like it in Chittenden County.  It is a true gem.

In 1873 The McCullough family took ownership and in 1978 started a recreation/conservation land use experiment.  Today the property is a model of education, agriculture, forestry, wildlife management, conservation, historic preservation, and recreation.  The event center is home to trails in the summer entertaining mountain bikers, hikers and tourists from around the globe.

Most recently in 2011, the McCullough’s opened their land to engaged couples allowing them to host incredible custom tented events for their celebrations.

Vermont is well known for covered bridges, barns and beautiful mountain vistas. This Vermont Wedding is a perfect example of all Vermont has to offer couples looking for a wonderful destination wedding location. Riverside Farm located in Pittsfield Vermont has been hosting magical weddings and special events for many years at their pastoral farm and barn wedding venue. This military themed wedding was photographed by Landwehrle Photography based out of Stowe Vermont.  The ceremony and reception took place in the Stonewall Barn on property at Riverside Farm.  The couple wanted to observe some Marine Corp traditions such as cutting the cake with a saber, and dedicating a table to missing Marines in action called the missing Marine table.

Nestled in the heart of Stowe Village lies one of Vermont’s most quaint wedding venues: the Green Mountain Inn.  Originally built in 1833 by Peter Lovejoy, the inn had undergone many renovations and additions since its inception and the current owner Gameroff trust has been constantly striving to bring quality guest experiences to the Stowe area.  With the improvements of the Spa and The Village Room as well as the many amendments to the guest rooms and townhouse additions, the Green Mountain Inn provides a great overall guest experience for your entire wedding party whether it be 20 or 120 guests.

In addition to the townhouse options, the Green Mountain Inn also has several 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments available with fireplaces, full kitchens and living rooms. Starr and National apartments even have a Foosball table, Playstation 2, and 55″ TV for you or your friends to relax.

WEDDING CUISINE:

Offering both plated dinner receptions and buffet offerings, the Green Mountain Inn serves some of the best wedding cuisine in Stowe Vermont.  All food is prepared by the same chefs and wonderfully fresh ingredients that The Whip Bar and Grill uses.
